Lady Gaga has officially finished filming her role for the upcoming ‘A Star Is Born’ remake. Filming of Cooper’s directorial debut began in April, with shooting taking place completely in California despite sessions where the team filmed in locations such as the iHeartRadio set and the SNL set and even Coachella. For the past couple of months Gaga has notably been very quiet on the media scene since she has been compiling hours of footage, outfit after outfit, scene after scene, take after take; in the lead role of Ally in the film, and I’m confident Gaga’s efforts will surely showcase her acting talents once again.
6 time Grammy-award winner Lady Gaga has already shown that she’s a credible actress as she not so long ago wowed us with her role as The Countess’ in American Horror Story: Hotel. Endless volumes of blood, curdling screams and a thickening plot saw Gaga engulf the hotel with her dominance, twisting and turning each victim to her favour.. all for the sake of love. Her role in the horror anthology went on to receive praise from critics, and was even awarded with a Golden Globe award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television.
A couple of months ago Warner Bros. pictures. released the first official picture from the set along with a press release which reads “Filming begins today on Warner Bros. Pictures’ reimagining of the musical A Star is Born, starring Bradley Cooper and introducing Stefani Germanotta, known across the globe as Oscar-nominated music superstar Lady Gaga, in her first leading role in a major motion picture.”
“A Star Is Born” is being produced by Bill Gerber, Jon Peters, Todd Phillips, Lynette Howell Taylor and Cooper, while Basil Iwanyk and Ravi Mehta are serving as executive producers. Cooper, Will Fetters and Eric Roth wrote the screenplay, based on the 1937 classic story by William A. Wellman and Robert Carson.
A Star Is Born; starring Lady Gaga & directed by Bradley Cooper is scheduled for a 28th September 201 release.
In other news; “I will be right by your side, If I can’t find the cure I’ll, I’ll fix you with my love, no matter what you know I’ll, I’ll fix you with my love and if you say you’re okay I’ll fix you anyway” Lady Gaga belts our during the chorus of her newly released single ‘The Cure’. Following her triumphant performance at Coachella Gaga unleashed a brand new song for the little monsters to sink their teeth into and has charted No.1 worldwide and still is charting to date.
The Cure is believed to be about Gaga’s best friend ‘Sonja’ who’s now sadly not with us anymore; as she was a long term sufferer of cancer; Gaga wanted to pay tribute to their never ending love for each other by releasing a song that speaks about finding a cure. “If I can’t find the cure I’ll fix you with me love” she sings in a anthemic manner, assuring her rightful passion for their friendship.
Long time serving music producer DJ White Shadow has also revealed that Gaga has been in the recording studio recently; recording new material. He stated there had been a 6 week period where Gaga took to the studio to just relentlessly record music. No details have been released about the music. However, fans are speculating that the music could be featured and used for the A Star Is Born soundtrack, never the less we will always welcome anything she puts out into the world.
