“I heard that there’s some pretty big C**K in New York City, now dance you mother f**c***s” the words of pop phenomenon ‘Lady Gaga’ right before her hit song ‘Love Game’ takes a turn into a euphoric, hammering dance anthem produced by the one and only ‘Chew Fu’ birth name: ‘Peter Jack Kardolus’.
Peter Kardolus; signed to Interscope records is renowned for his production skills with current day artists from Mariah Carey to Lady Gaga; his most notable efforts are songs he’s taken from Lady Gaga’s plethora of music; turning them into intoxicating dance floor bangers. Chew Fu grew up in Almere, Netherlands where later in life he went on to graduate with honours from the saxophone at the Utrecht Conservatory with Piet Noordijk. He is also a classically trained jazz musician who holds a master’s degree in Music.
Let’s take a look a Chew Fu’s creations over the past couple of years:
Million Reasons is Lady Gaga’s hit song of the year so far, and is still currently the number one song a top of the Country Music Chart, seven months after it was initially released. Adding the magic came Chew with his influential production; twigging the melody in every direction to ultimately thrive; generating a new song for music lovers to enjoy on the dance floor.
Breedlove, friend of both Chew Fu and Lady Gaga, unleashed his very own record titled ‘The Magic Monday EP’ back in 2014 a solo project in which he debuted at the artRAVE: The ARTPOP Ball tour’. The entire project was produced by Chew FU with original instrumentation; the song I’ve highlighted here ‘FTW’ is a brilliant showcase of the talent and ability between these two incredible forces.
“Welcome to The Monster Ball now dance you motherfuckers!” Lady Gaga furiously projects releasing the rock chick within, throughout Madison square gardens to thousands of energetic little monsters. ‘Love Game’ is an anthem within the set-list that fans knew what was coming, a high octane remix to engulf their emotions; dance, sweat, joy and glitter was spread around the arena’s as Chew Fu and Lady Gaga set those arena’s alight with this stomper crafted by the genius that is Chew Fu.
Earlier this week Chew Fu reached out to me on Twitter to check in and to thank me for his comments on his latest ‘re-fix’ for Lady Gaga’s ‘John Wayne’ track. Also I took the opportunity to ask him if there were to be a remix on Gaga’s currently single ‘The Cure’, and much to my surprise he replied “yes i’m mixing The Cure”. Do keep your eyes peeled as we’ll bring you the latest on when it’s available. If you can’t wait till then though, be sure to check out a snippet of the remix below.
